What if illness happens for you, not to you? This 8-week online class is for those who have (or live with someone who has) a chronic condition, life threatening illness, or any kind of diagnosis from allergies to cancer to accident injuries to HIV.

Designed to take compassionate care of the mental and emotional stress that comes with a diagnosis, this course creates space to cultivate a kinder, more peaceful relationship with your condition.

Using a powerful method of inquiry called The Work of Byron Katie, we will identify, question, and shift:

  • stressful thoughts about our disease
  • fearful stories about the future
  • judgments about medication/treatment
  • blame towards anyone who is not supporting you
  • universal beliefs around disease and health

Receive support to find the healing voice within the illness and the part of you that is completely unaffected. Discover the ways in which this condition has been a teacher, a gift, and a catalyst for transformation, self-growth, and unconditional love.

The curriculum is based on Helena’s healing journey with HIV and Bethany’s experience with cancer. Through inquiry, they both discovered a profound state of freedom, peace, joy, and gratitude for their illnesses. They now live happy, healthy lives and are excited to continue exploring this work with others.

Our 8 sessions will take place online via Zoom so you can join from the comfort of your home. Also included are weekly guided meditations, an active online forum, partner work, group inquiry, and a loving community.

About Your Certified Facilitators

Screen Shot 2019-05-09 at 2.40.55 PMHelena was diagnosed with HIV in 2010, after having been mysteriously ill for 2 years. She now lives in peace and complete gratitude for HIV. And in complete health! The Work helped her dissolve all the mental stress, future fears and self-blame and shame that created way more stress than the HIV virus itself. She has since shared this curriculum with hundreds of people and through the Health Department in her county as a service to her local HIV community.

BethanyWebbBioBethany was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 at the age of 34 and learned it metastasized to stage IV in 2021. Inquiry has provided a compassionate inner support system as she questions her thoughts about cancer, medicine, doctors, body image, & fears of the future. Cancer is now a wise teacher and a true gift. Her greatest passion is helping others find the same freedom from pain and illness through online classes, private sessions, and her book baby: My Guru Cancer.
